Bogg Bags made us $480 at the beach

This was our second year heading to the Outer Banks, also our second year staying in Corolla. We rented a house with long time friends to enjoy a quiet week long vacation. It feels good to wake up in the morning and run up the street to the local bakery for freshly baked donuts and bagels. The multi times a day Ice Cream and Kona Ice trucks certainly have figured out the racket down here. Kids line up with their parents in tow for a $4 ice cream sandwich or chocolate eclair.

We went out for lunch to the local Sushi restaurant and to my amazement my wife wanted to do some shopping. I was ready for my after lunch food coma when she convinced me to stop into the little shops across the way. While inside shopping she spotted large Bogg Bags in multiple colors, she immediately recognized them as selling for more online on Mercari and eBay and suggested we get a few. The car was pretty full on the way down so I thought maybe we could get a few, eventually we ended up with 12 new large size Bogg Bags to resell. We sold two off to our friends we were staying with while at the beach and somehow we ended up needing a 4th bag for ourselves.

We had 9 bags left, 3 Orange, 3 Pineapple and 3 anchor bags. We were able to list them through Mercari and eBay and clear them out within a couple weeks for a tidy profit. Below I breakdown the total costs and profit for the sales. Between our trip supplies and bags the Suburban we rented for this trip was packed to the gills but it did offset our costs on the trip. My wife has an eye for the fashion and accessories that she can quickly flip online.
